Danish classic "cozy" food from Denmark has many typical dishes, which are eaten on different occasions year round. Here is illustrated a selection of the dishes that can be enjoyed for afternoon tea, lunch, desserts or other occasions where Danish cosiness is needed.
The motifs on the cards:
Red fruit pudding with cream
Sun above Gudhjem
Apple Fritters with jam
Open sandwich with pickled herring and the 'Veterinarian's Midnight Snack'
Breaded plaice with parsley sauce
Roast pork with crackling
The fine illustrations are designed by Peter Nielsen, author, artist, graphic designer and subject teacher at Design Seminar in Højer 1997-2002. He has had a studio at Ærø from 2003. His main focus is on the visual and illustrative things, which is seen in both biological textbooks, instructional manuals and for decorations.
The cards are printed at a Swan-labeled company and made from environmentally certified FSC paper.
The envelopes are made of eco-friendly eucalyptus paper.
