Bjørn Wiinblad was a one-off in Danish art — in every way a cheerful, colorful and exuberant craftsman. His guiding motto was "Give people joy".

Worldwide, Bjørn Wiinblad became one of the best-selling Danish artists. Wiinblad is, among others, represented at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, Kunstindustrimuseet, Oslo, the Nationalmuseum, Stockholm and the Museo Nazionale delle Ceramiche, Faenza, Italy.
Bjørn Wiinblad is best known for his distinctive ceramics from Nymølle and the beautiful porcelain for Rosenthal. They can be found in millions of homes around the world. The theatre world held a special place in Bjørn Wiinblad’s heart, and he worked for many different theatres at home and abroad across all genres: revue, ballet, opera and classical plays.
