Nature offers many plants, berries and flowers that are suitable for spiced schnapps. There are different options among roots, leaves, stems, buds, catkins, flowers, seeds and fruits.

How homemade spiced schnapps are made is described by Peter Friis Møller in the little white handbook, which also contains the recipes "SPICED SCHNAPPS - good taste in bottles."
