With great respect, Koustrup & Co. has carefully restored these original hand-drawn designs, which were found in William Morris’ own home. Each original has been gently preserved and revived so his original vision shines through, while retaining their historical authenticity. We are proud to carry this out in collaboration with The William Morris Society in London. The Society, dedicated to preserving Morris’ work and ideals, keeps his vision alive for future generations.
William Morris (1834-1896), a visionary designer and founder of the Arts & Crafts movement, believed in the power of beauty, craftsmanship and sustainability. His intricate patterns, inspired by nature, transformed interior design and are just as captivating today as they were in the 19th century.
Morris was also a socialist and believed that art was for everyone.
