Mealy Primrose is a rare flower in Denmark, growing in calcareous soil in bogs and wet meadows. The plant reaches up to 30 cm in height and is recognised by its rosette of elongated, smooth leaves that are white-mealy on the underside. The flower stalks are mealy toward the top and end in a dense umbel of small, flat-faced flowers, with the corolla ranging from reddish-purple to purplish red and a yellow throat.
Mealy Primrose blooms in May and June and is a protected plant that grows in North Zealand and on Bornholm.
