BUTTERFLIES - Poster A2
Butterflies and moths can be observed in nature and in gardens. Day-flying butterflies are beautiful and inspire admiration with their colourful splendour and graceful flight. We delight in the sight of the first brimstone butterfly on a sunny day in March and the colourful peacock butterfly fluttering around in the perennial bed.
But butterflies are more than just day-fliers. They are colourful, have large broad wings and fly from flower to flower. Some of the butterflies (moths) are primarily active at night, but these too have their own beauty and poetry once you open your eyes to them.
On this poster you can easily tell the butterflies apart and at the same time learn the names of the most common species in Denmark.
Peter Nielsen has quite accurately depicted 36 different butterflies and moths for this poster.
