Red jellyfish - ART PRINT - CHOOSE SIZE
The red jellyfish, Cyanea capillata, is very common in Danish waters. It is the largest of the 'storgopler' group and can reach up to 2 meters in diameter with tentacles up to 37 meters (mostly seen in Arctic waters), but size can vary a lot. In Denmark you will typically encounter the red jellyfish/jelly about 30 centimetres in diameter.
If you're unlucky enough to come into contact with a red jellyfish, you may get stings, but it's rarely dangerous.
