Beskrivelse
The chicken breed originates from Australia and is the only chicken breed of Australian origin. The breed has been in Norway since the 1940s and is among the best layers in the world.
Australorps rarely brood and are not especially good at looking after their chicks. They are easygoing, calm and docile.
Many are taken by the breed's green sheen in the plumage and its large dark brown eyes.
The breed's eggs are light brown.
The breed comes in three colours: black, white and blue-laced.
