NORDIC ANIMAL TRACKS (NORDISKE DYRESPOR) - POSTER A2
Some mammals can be difficult to see. Either because they escape from humans or because they are most active at night.
In forests, on paths and in field areas, it may be possible to see animal tracks. In freshly fallen snow it can be easy to see tracks but also in wet areas by streams and forest lakes, where the animals find food and drink you can go hunting. Almost all animals leave traces and before you can look around, the animals may have climbed up trees, in bushes or sought refuge in the ground.
With animal tracks you can often read the animals' lives and movements. Remains such as skulls, food tracks and faeces can tell a lot about the animals' way of life.
Michael Petersen has made the elegant illustrations for the poster.
