The Bird's-eye primrose is a rare flower in Denmark that grows in calcareous soil in marshes and on wet meadows. The plant grows up to 30 cm tall and is known for its rosette of elongated, smooth and underside white-meled leaves. The flower caps are whitewashed upwards and end with a dense floral screen of small, flat-flowered flowers, the crown being red-purple to purple and yellow.
The plant blooms in May and June and is a protected flower that grows in North Zealand and on Bornholm.
