The humpback whale, Megaptera novaeangliae, can grow 13 meters long and weigh up to 35 tons. It is found throughout most of the world and is sometimes spotted in Danish waters. Due to the dorsal fin reminiscent of a hump, the whale has its name.
Here is the huge humpback whale illustrated by Susanne Weitemeyer.
