Puisi is pronounced 'bu-i-si' and means 'seal' in Greenlandic.
Throughout the ages the seal has been an important food source for Arctic peoples and is still considered a delicacy today. Seal hunting is therefore an important part of the culture, where nothing goes to waste. Seal skin is used for clothing, national costume, decorations and much more.
