Pumpkins are healthy, taste good and have a low energy content. With the right amount of intake, impaired age vision can be prevented due to the vitamin A content lutein. Pumpkins are great to look at and can be used for decoration, carving and dining. The taste of the pumpkin nuances in sweetness, nutmeg and nut aroma and therefore several gastronomists are happy to use different pumpkin varieties in cooking.
