The fine illustrations originate from the book Flora Danica. It was, in its time, constructed as a bookwork across the Danish flora. Initially, it should be both a botanical description of the wild plants in the Danish king's lands and an associated tablet work. Only the boards were finished. The Botanical Works Flora Danica was published 1761-1883, and during the 122 years that the publication lasted, the project was changed several times. The finished work contains 3240 copper-plated boards.
The cards are printed at a Swan-labeled company and made from environmentally certified FSC paper.
The envelopes are made of eco-friendly eucalyptus paper.
